Only available as a private tour in the 2026/2027 season.

Your tour begins at our tour center in central Oslo. As we take the scenic train ride up to the forest, night will begin to fall. This space between day and night where shadows dance is the perfect gateway to the forest's hidden mysteries.

As we leave the train behind, only the faint beam of your headlamp will pierce the darkness. You’ll traverse hidden paths, immersing yourself in the quiet beauty of the winter landscape. The blue hour deepens into true night, and the forest's transformation is complete.

But beware - this is no ordinary walk. Led by an experienced guide, you’ll hear ancient tales of folklore woven into the very fabric of this place. Beneath the forest’s peaceful exterior is a realm steeped in myth. With every crunch of snow or crackle of leaves underfoot, you may sense the watchful presence of the unknown. Could Huldra, the forest’s beguiling spirit, be lurking just beyond the edges of your light? Might a troll be waiting in the shadows, or some other ancient being that calls this forest home?

Soon, a warm glow will beckon you forward. At a crackling bonfire, you'll warm your hands with steaming Gløgg, Norway's answer to Glüwein, accompanied by traditional snacks. Share stories of your nocturnal adventure and the whispers you may have heard in the woods, as the fire dances and the stars watch overhead.

Are you prepared to embrace the thrill of the unknown, and to uncover the hidden stories of the Oslo forest? The Mystery Night Walk with Headlamps promises a spine-tingling adventure you’ll never forget.

Leave No Trace In The Forest

On this tour we do not have any toilets available, but we do have plenty of "Facilitrees" in the forest ☺️. So do as the locals do and When In Norway, pee in the woods!
