Private Winter Torchlight Walk & Campfire Moments

Discover Oslo’s winter magic in the most intimate way — on a private torchlit walk accompanied only by your chosen group. This experience combines peaceful snowy forest paths, warm torchlight, a frozen lake, and a cozy campfire moment that feels personal, authentic, and deeply atmospheric. 

Your adventure begins in the heart of Oslo, where your guide will meet you at the When in Norway tour center. From there, we’ll hop on the metro for a scenic ride, passing through charming neighborhoods on our way to Frognerseteren Station, perched 500 meters above the fjord.

After a few moments to enjoy the stunning view of the city lights below, it's time to start your adventure and head off into the night! We will take a short walk to our camp, where you and you will enjoy a cozy campfire - with hot chocolate, waffles and marshmallows, roasted over the fire. It`s the norwegian way of hygge, and you get to enjoy it exclusively with your group.

After enjoying the campfire, each guest will be given a hand-held flame torch and, after a quick safety briefing, we’ll set off into the winter wilderness. The forest comes alive in the glow of our torches as we take a leisurely walk through the snowy landscape. The snow sparkles like fresh-cut gems, and the moonlight dances on the trees while the warm light from our torches adds a magical glow to the surroundings. Along the way, your guide will share stories and interesting facts about the area, with plenty of opportunities to stop and capture the beauty around you.

The walk will last about 45 minutes and will end by the metro which takes us back to civilization.
